So tonight David and I watched the movie "Julie & Julia," which ironically was about a girl who wrote a blog. I just started one, so it interested me. Hers blog though, unlike mine will be, was actually interesting. See, she wrote a cooking blog about making every recipe from her idle, Julia Child's famous cookbook, within a year. It was a cute movie and made me realize that my blog is definitely going to be boring in comparison ha ha. But that's how it goes I guess. I mean, tonight I did not make a fancy french meal... I guess it was in the same region though. I made spaghetti noodles and put Prego sauce out of a jar on top of it. I thought it was delicious and so did David, so there. I did have fun after dinner though and I made a banana boat! I don't know if anyone remembers those from when they were kids, but basically you stuff a banana full of goodies and then you cook it in foil in a campfire, or in my case wrapped in foil in the oven :). I put peanut butter and Reeses Pieces in mine because that's all we had that wasn't chocolate, and if you know me, you know that I don't like chocolate. Now, I have to be careful when I cook it though because I don't like the banana super cooked, I mostly just like it when the peanut butter and Reeses Pieces get all melty and gooey, yum. Because of my constant checking on it, it was perfect! So that was my pleasure for the evening, as well as just cuddling with David on the couch watching a chick flick... Which he picked, just for me I'm sure, he's so sweet.
Cute! I'm glad you started a blog. And yes! I love banana boats, except we always made them over the fire during campouts. Do you have my blog address and invitation? I'll send one to your e-mail :) It is more than you will ever want to know about me and our family :) Keep posting! It's fun to get to know you better!
