I had Friday off work which was really nice but I had two visiting teaching appointments to go to and a baby shower to go to that night. It was fun to see my friends and celebrate that my friend Brooke, an old mission companion, will be having a baby girl in a few months. I'm really excited for her. It was fun too because a Hungarian girl named Lilla that got taught by a few of my mission friends and who got baptized, married a returned missionary in the temple and now lives here in Utah came last night. She is really cute and it made me feel good to talk to her because I realized I haven't lost as much of my Hungarian as I thought. I mean, sometimes it was hard to understand what she was talking about and to respond, but I'm better off than I thought, so that made me feel good.
Today is the first day we actually have to relax without anything to do. David made me breakfast this morning which was really sweet. He made hashbrowns, eggs, sausages, bacon and orange juice. It was delicious and again, really sweet of him.
Ok, so I started my phlebotomy class on Monday and it was good. On Wednesday we started practicing on each other, so I had to get stuck 6 different times between my two arms. I kind of look like a drug addict... So luckily it's been a bit more chilly the last few days so I have an excuse to wear long sleeves ha ha. We're supposed to start bringing volunteers now to stick on Wednesdays, but I think I'm going to have a hard time getting anyone to volunteer to let me stick them with needles a bunch of times. We are supposed to get 8 sticks a night, so yeah. I think that since I won't get too many volunteers that means I'll have to find some more of my classmates that will let me stick them... Which of course means that I will have to let them stick me back. Boo!
I am so happy that school is coming to an end and that I only have to keep going like this for 2 more weeks. I think I can last that long. I will be taking the certification test on Wednesday the 9th of May and then hopefully I'll be able to get a job doing that and start making more money. It is a national certification test too, which means that I could be able to get a job in DC over the summer too. That is, if I pass and hear back from them quickly.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot that Sunday was Easter and that that was this week, that feels like forever ago. We didn't do anything special really. David's family was out of town, so I just made a roast in the crock pot with potatoes and carrots. We went to the park and enjoyed the nice weather, we just laid in the grass and talked and enjoyed the sun. Then we went over to Maile and Michael's and watched Frozen Planet with them. I got David an Easter basket which I set out for him before he woke up. There were razor refills in it, some eggs filled with jellybeans and reeses pieces, some fancy rootbeer and stuff like that. He loved it.
Well, we're going to go to the store now, so I gotta go, it'll be good to get out of the house.
